🧭 God Should Be the Center—Not an Afterthought

In friendships, dating, and even marriage, it’s easy to get caught up in emotions, loyalty, or attachment. But without God at the center, even the best relationships can crumble. He is the One who brings clarity, conviction, and peace when things get complicated.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
When you build your relationships on Him, you aren’t relying on your emotions—you’re grounded in truth.

❤️ Love Without God Isn't Complete

The world defines love as a feeling. But God defines it as a commitment, a choice, and a reflection of Him. Whether it’s a best friend or a romantic partner, if God isn’t the source of your love, it’s not going to last the way He intended.

When you put God first, you learn to love people better—not for what they give you, but for how you can honor Him in the way you treat them.

🙌 God Gives Discernment You Don’t Have

Not every connection is meant to stay. Some people are seasonal, some are distractions, and some are divinely appointed. You won’t always know the difference on your own—but God does. He sees the full picture and will show you what’s healthy, what’s toxic, and what needs to change.
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him.” — Psalm 37:23 (NIV)
When you invite Him in, He’ll protect your heart from what isn’t meant for you and prepare your heart for what is.

💡 Alignment with God Brings Alignment with People

When both you and the other person are seeking God first, that relationship becomes a place of growth and peace, not confusion and pain. Spiritual alignment doesn’t guarantee perfection, but it does produce fruit—like honesty, patience, and accountability.
“Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” — Amos 3:3 (NIV)
If you’re walking in God’s direction and they’re not, the distance will only grow. Put Him first, and trust that the right people will walk with you.

Father, help me to put You first in every relationship. Whether it's a friend, a family member, or someone I love deeply—let my heart be rooted in You first. Give me wisdom, discernment, and the courage to let go of anything that pulls me away from You. In every connection, let Your will be done. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

Relationships are powerful—but they aren’t your foundation. God is. When you put Him first, He brings the right people, removes the wrong ones, and teaches you how to love without losing yourself. Start with Him, stay with Him, and everything else will fall into place.
