š„ The Light the Enemy Canāt Put Out
What God has placed in you is stronger than the darkness around you.
Key Verse: āThe light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.ā ā John 1:5 (NIV)
š” Your light was placed there by God
Friend, you need to remember this: the light in you didnāt come from the world, so the world ā or the enemy ā canāt take it away. God Himself is the one who placed His Spirit within you. āYou are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hiddenā (Matthew 5:14). That means your value, your calling, and your purpose donāt depend on your circumstances or your feelings ā they depend on Him. And the enemy canāt extinguish what God Himself has lit.
š Darkness can press in, but it canāt win
Sometimes life feels heavy, like shadows are closing in from every side. Maybe youāve faced rejection, disappointment, or spiritual battles that left you drained. But hereās the truth: darkness is powerless in the presence of light. John 1:5 promises, āThe light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.ā No matter how thick the night seems, your light shines brighter because itās fueled by the eternal flame of Christ.
⨠You donāt shine alone
The enemy wants you to think your light isnāt bright enough, that youāre too weak or too broken to make an impact. But Scripture says otherwise: āLet your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heavenā (Matthew 5:16). Notice itās not about being perfect ā itās about being willing. Even the smallest flicker of light can push back a room full of darkness. Your willingness to shine makes the difference, not your perfection.
šļø Godās light in you is unstoppable
Hereās the good news: Godās light in you is eternal. The enemy might try to discourage you, distract you, or make you doubt yourself, but he cannot put out what God has set ablaze. āFor it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purposeā (Philippians 2:13). As long as God is working in you, the fire cannot be quenched. Your job is not to manufacture the light ā itās simply to let it shine.
š Prayer
š Lord, thank You for placing Your light within me. Help me remember that no darkness, no lie, and no attack from the enemy can extinguish what Youāve started in me. Give me boldness to shine brightly in every season, and let my life reflect Your glory. In Jesusā name, amen.
š Final Thoughts
The enemy will do everything he can to convince you that your light is small or insignificant ā but donāt believe the lie. Your light comes from God, and darkness cannot overcome it. Keep shining, even if it feels like no one notices. You never know whose life youāre illuminating by simply being faithful.
