God Hasn't Forgotten His Promise
Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean God has forgotten.
Waiting can make you wonder if God has forgotten what He promised. You pray, you trust, you stay faithful—and yet the answer seems delayed. In those moments, it's easy to believe that God has moved on or that somehow you missed His plan. But God's delays are not His denials. The same God who made the promise is faithful to fulfill it, and He has not forgotten you.
⏳ 1. God's Timing Is Different Than Yours
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1
We often want God to move according to our schedule, but His timing is always perfect. What feels like a delay may actually be His protection or preparation. God sees the full picture while we only see the present moment. Trust that if He hasn't opened the door yet, there's a reason.
🌱 2. God Is Preparing You While You Wait
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” — Psalm 27:14
Waiting isn't wasted. While you're waiting on God's promise, God is working on you. He's strengthening your faith, refining your character, and preparing you for what He's preparing for you. The waiting season often becomes one of the greatest seasons of growth.
👀 3. Don't Judge God's Faithfulness by Your Circumstances
“For we live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7
Your current circumstances don't determine God's character. Just because things look impossible doesn't mean they are impossible for Him. Faith means believing God's promises even when your circumstances seem to say otherwise. Keep your eyes on God's faithfulness, not your feelings.
🔥 4. God Always Keeps His Word
“Not one of all the Lord's good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.” — Joshua 21:45
God has never broken a promise, and He never will. His Word is trustworthy because His character is unchanging. If God said it, you can trust Him with it. The fulfillment may not happen when you expect it, but you can be confident that He is faithful to everything He has spoken.
🙏 5. Keep Trusting Until the Promise Becomes Reality
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Don't let discouragement cause you to quit too soon. Some of God's greatest blessings come after seasons of patient endurance. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep obeying. Your waiting is not in vain, and your faithfulness matters. The God who made the promise is still working—even if you can't see it yet.
📜 Scriptures to Meditate On
Hebrews 10:23 — “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 — “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
Psalm 27:14 — “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Joshua 21:45 — “Not one of all the Lord's good promises... failed; every one was fulfilled.”
Galatians 6:9 — “At the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
🙏 Prayer
Lord, thank You that You are always faithful to Your Word. When I'm tempted to believe You've forgotten me, remind me that Your timing is perfect and Your promises never fail. Give me the strength to keep trusting You, even when I can't see what You're doing. Help me remain faithful in the waiting, knowing that You are working all things according to Your perfect plan. In Jesus' name, amen.
With love,
Brandon
